Question: I've have taping my doberman for 3 weeks and presently only one ear is erected. The other ear will stay erect only for few hours then drop. Is this normal? will it still stand erect? I also notice that the latter ear is obviously longer than the other. Can there be any remedy to correct this? Please help me. Thanks.

Answer:  Yes that happens all the time, but you'll be taping for months, don't expect the ears to be ready after just 3 weeks. Most people will tell you that you’ll need to tape from 3-6 months before the ears stand on their own.

You might also notice the ears standing well, then one day they drop again. This has to do with the time they get their new teeth; their calcium goes to teeth production and away form cartilage in the ears. Start to tape again if this happens
