Here are some pictures we took at Jacobs Park off leash dog park in North east Tucson, Arizona. This dog park is out of the way, and a little difficult to find the first time you visit. Once you know where to park, this is a great place to visit. Plenty of shade trees and grass and a fenced in area for dogs to play
Jacobs Park off-leash dog area Built in November 2005 at Jacobs Park, 3300 N. Fairview Ave. The small off-leash dog area is located on the west side of Jacobs Park. Funding for the project came from $68,750 in City of Tucson Back-to-Basics Funding. For more information contact the Northwest District at 791-4873
There is a gated 'airlock' like double gate, like all the dog parks so there is little chance of dogs getting out. Once inside the off leash area there is plenty of grass for the dog to run and play
Large shade trees keep much of the park in the shade even on a sunny day like the day we took these pictures of Jacobs Park off leash dog park
The Jacobs Park off leash dog park is on the west side of Jacobs Park. Drive south of the park, then north up the alley between the houses and the park to get the the off leash dog parking area
There was a lot of activity at Jacobs Park and really no signs pointing you back to the dog area, Walking a dog is OK in the rest of the park, but leash laws apply
The park is on both sides of Fairview the part on the east side of the street has nothing to do with the dog park though
